Carson Energy Services Ltd. has cultivated and executed a Quality Assurance system which covers ASME (pressure vessel and piping), CSA (pipeline) and CWB (structural) welding. Safe work procedures are fundamental to the QA program.

CES is registered with the Candian Welding Bureau, and qualified to CSA Standard W47.1, Division 2. All of the company's qualified welders are registered with the CWB.

CES conforms to the provisions of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act and Regulations, and is authorized to fabricate, repair and alter pressure vessels, fittings and pressure piping, and to repair and alter pressure vessels in accordance with the following standards, at all Company locations and field sites:

• ASME Section VIII, Division 1 for Pressure Vessels
• ASME B31.1 for Power Piping
• ASME B31.3 for Process Piping
• CSA B51 for Category A, E, H Fittings
• ASME Section I for Power Boilers
• ASME Section IV for Heating Boilers
• Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act and Regulations

The Company has an approved Quality Control Manual for manufacturing and repairing pressure piping and vessels. Registered Weld Procedures cover all types of carbon and stainless steel welding. The manuals and procedures are registered with the Government of Saskatchewan, Alberta Boilers Safety Association, Manitoba Labour and Immigration, and the B.C. Safety Authority.

The CES Pipeline Quality Control Manual follows CSA Z662.

The Company also has an internal QA manual for use on projects which confirms compliance with client QC/QA requirements, as well as a Safe Work Procedure manual. Quality Management Principles have been put into place where applicable and justified (not ISO certified as these are based on a single location and not for field fabrication use).

A Quality Control team, consisting of QC Manager, QC Coordinator and many QC Representatives administer the Company’s QC program. Two Certified Engineering Technologists, backed by personnel ranging from CWB Level I Welding Supervisors to Level III Welding inspectors manage the Company’s QC as it pertains to welding, ensuring that all legislative standards and industry codes are met.
